The Cool School of the Year award ceremony was held on Thursday, May 28, 1998 in the amphitheater at Georgia O'Keeffe. Student Council president Simon Carian was the Master of Ceremonies. The award was presented by Karla Mickey and Rob York from Education World and Steve Sandis from Cisco Systems. Also in attendance were Assistant Superintendent Art Romero and Representative Kip Nicely.
